Fulacht fia in Rossnashunsoge

In rough pasture, on a terrace on an E-facing slope and within a network of field boundaries (CO090-026001-). The remains of a crescent-shaped gorse-covered mound (7m N-S; 7m E-W; H 0.5m) of heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil. The arms of the mound are separated by a river-worn hollow in which traces of the burnt material are evident. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
