Fulacht fia in Rossnashunsoge

In rough hill grazing, in a wet hollow within a network of field boundaries (CO090-026001-). A horseshoe-shaped mound (8m N-S; 7m E-W; H 1.4m) of heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil. The damaged opening (Wth 2.8m) faces W. The mound is partially eroded and gorse-covered. An E-W sheep path has cut through the mound at E. A fulacht fia (CO090-026010-) and a burnt mound (CO090-026011-) lie c. 60m to the S and SSE, respectively. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
