Fulacht fia in Rathgoggan South

In level pasture. Discovered during construction of Bruff-Mallow gas pipeline (Gowen 1988, 179). Semicircular spread of burnt material extending from left side of pipeline corridor forming a semicircular plan, measuring 6m in length and extending 3.8m into corridor. No mound visible in field outside corridor; possible that spread derives from another fulacht fiadh (11547) c. 4m to S. (pers. comm. M. Gowen).
