Fulacht fia in Maulagowna

In boggy pasture, on a SW-facing slope, overlooking the valley of Lough Inchiquin. A horseshoe-shaped flat-topped mound (7.1m NE-SW; 3.2m NW-SE; H 0.3m) of burnt material with the opening (1.7m NW-SE; 1.2m NE-SW) facing SE. Some burnt material is exposed at the tip of the SW arm where the mound is denuded. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
