One of two registered fulacht fia on the west shore of Castle Lough, Leitra, County Clare. The second vanished before the 1999 inspection, leaving only the first to mark the water's edge. A boiling pit beside a lough suggests people gathered there to heat stones, cook food or cleanse bodies. The lost neighbour warns that even registered ancient places can retreat from human memory.

This record is for one of two ‘Fulachta fiadh’ registered in the RMP (1996) under the number CL010-146---- on the basis of a 1994 map annotation by Tom Coffey (SMR file) at ITM c. 534334, 698237, on the W shore of Castle Lough.
