On a gentle E-facing slope, in flat pasture. Excavated in 2007/8 in advance of the N9/N10 Kilcullen to Waterford road improvement scheme (Licence no. E3858). Thirteen burnt spreads comprising heat-shattered stone and grey silt may have formed part of a larger mound of material. They overlay three troughs, two of which were conjoined. Three stake-holes E of one trough may have been associated. A sub-circular stone platform built with 14 slab-like stones resting above a layer of pebbles was located to the N of the conjoined troughs. A number of pits were located to the E and SE of the troughs and may have been storage or roasting pits. Three linear features associated with the troughs may have been drainage gullies.
