What is recorded here
No amount of thinking can call back the lost fulacht fia in Deelin Beg. The road builders erased it before human memory could keep its shape. What remains is a hole in the story, not a hole in the ground.
On a W-facing slope in extensively cleared pastureland near the northern extent of a field system (CL006-038001-). T. Coffey (SMR file) noted the former presence of a fulacht fia at this location and also noted that it had been destroyed during road building. No visible remains were noted on inspection in 1997.
