Hot stones hissed in marsh water while people waited for supper. The fulacht fia in Cunnagare still holds that kitchen memory beside poor pastureland in County Kerry. Another rath lies two fields to the south, suggesting a whole neighbourhood once lived around heat, water and patience.

KE015-083---- is situated in poor pastureland, the surrounding land is quite marshy. Two fields to the S lies another rath (KE015-087----). According to the landowner (O'Sullivan) several fulachta fiadh have been discovered in the vicinity of the fort and all would appear to be located near springs.
