What is recorded here

Located in poorly drained rush-grown pasture. Ground falls away gradually to S to the Robe River. Fully excavated (98E0389) in 1998 in advance of the construction by Mayo County Council of a sewage treatment works, this fulacht fia consisted of a roughly horseshoe-shaped mound (11.2m E–W; 7m N–S; H 0.3m) with a trough (1.6m N–S; 0.95m E–W; D 0.2m) at S. Artefacts recovered included one struck chert waste flake, bone fragments and one piece of worked wood. Two other fulachtai fia (MA111-094001-; MA111-094002-) were located a few meters to E, and an area of prehistoric activity (MA111-094004-) was located c. 80m to W.
