A large pit (5.5m by 1.5m) was backfilled with burnt mound material was excavated in advance of development (Licence no. 06E0477). Two sub-rectangular pits with postholes within their bases were part of a complex of pits and postholes around the large pit some of which may have served as a hearth (Corcoran 2009, 39).
