On a narrow terrace on a moderately steep rock-strewn SE-facing slope, with a small stream immediately to the NE. A classic horseshoe-shaped fulacht fia (dims. 17.2m NE–SW; 15.1m NW–SE; max. H 1.8m) open to the NW and with a trough area (9m NW–SE; 4.7m NE–SW) abutting a low bedrock terrace at NW. The bedrock terrace is stepped and may have been quarried as a source of stone and for seating. A cattle track running along the external base of the monument at S has removed the sod cover revealing a composition of small burnt stones.
