Fulacht fia in An Bhinn Bhán (uíbh Ráthach)

This well-preserved fulacht fiadh is located is wet rushy land, on the W side of a stream that flows to Lough Currane. The grassed-over, horseshoe-shaped mound has maximum diamensions of 10m N-S x 9.5m E-W, and averages .5m high. A gap of 2.6m occurs at WSW, and the centre of the mount is a hollow area with maximum dimensions of 2.6m N-S x 5.2m E-W. The stony composition of the mound is easily detected when probed.
