This blue commemorative plaque records: Annie & Frank Maskew. Annie and Frank met here in 1954, then Rochdale Central Library. Their bequest to Rochdale Library Service ensured that the books and culture that brought them together were available for future generations to enjoy via the Rochdale Literature & Ideas Festival and The Maskew Collection of classic literature and philosophy at Number One Riverside Recorded plaque organisation: Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council.
Frank Maskew and Annie Maskew met at Rochdale Central Library in 1954, and their bequest supports literary and philosophical education through the Rochdale Literature & Ideas Festival and The Maskew Collection at Number One Riverside, ensuring continued access to books and culture.
