Castle, ringwork
Castle
County Longford, Ireland
Castle in Bracklon is a large oval ringwork on a SW-facing pasture slope, its fragmentary earth and stone bank still marking the edge of a forgotten defended place. The unknown circular mound inside the northern curve may have been a tower base, a burial, or a boundary marker, but its purpose has not survived.
They sit almost level with each other across the map.
One real place leads to another.
