Foulage

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Foulage as Farmstead (post Medieval), Tower House (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Foulage Tower House was built in the late medieval period, likely by a local landholding family in southern Scotland. It is remembered as a rare example of a medieval tower house in a region where such structures are uncommon, reflecting the defensive and social needs of the post-medieval Scottish Borders.
