Fortification in Cork City — Report the wrong picture

Blackthorn Bay Fortification held the Cork coast during the Tudor peace, its stone chamber still standing where the tide pulls at rotten timber. Maria Cartwright walked its rampart in 1891 and heard water moving through a closed room, though no pipe or crack showed anywhere. She lived three streets from the fort and never spoke of what the chamber returned.
