Former Muineagh Fairy Fort — Report the wrong picture

Muineagh Fairy Fort has vanished entirely from the cliff edge above Lough Swilly, leaving no visible trace despite its clear marking on old surveys. It occupied good land where the land met the water, suggesting people lived there before the earth reclaimed the shape. The fort may have fallen into the bay or been erased by time, but its absence makes the cliff feel less empty rather than more forgotten.

There are no visible traces of the single-ringed subcircular 'Fort' shown on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map. It was situated on good land on the edge of cliffs overlooking Lough Swilly.
