Fordell, St Theriot's Well

St Theriot's Well is associated with St Theriot (or Thérèse), a 6th-century Breton saint known for his healing miracles, particularly for curing eye ailments and livestock diseases. The well, located in Fordell, reflects a tradition of pilgrimage and water healing common in medieval Scotland, where such sites were often linked to saints from the Celtic Christian tradition.
