No church remains to prove the font is genuine, yet it still stands inside the present building in Julianstown West. Its shallow bowl sits on a wide low foot, and the drain hole has been filled, suggesting it stopped serving baptisms long before the church above it vanished. Water may have pooled in that small stone dish while infants were named and claimed by their families. The font survives the loss of every wall that once surrounded it.

There is no evidence of the medieval parish church of Julianstown (ME028-001----), but a font, of uncertain authenticity, is in the present church (Roe 1968, 121). It is a shallow bowl (ext. diam. 0.66m; int. diam. 0.54m; D 0.14m) with the drain-hole filled in and standing on a low, expanding foot (diam. of base 0.94m; H 8cm).
