This font was removed from the original site (LA008-014001-) and is now located in St. John's Church (LA008-010) in Morett. Font in St John's church (Gandon building), moved from grounds of Emo Park demesne (LA009-006-) in c. 1935 may originally been in Coolbanagher church (LA008-014001-). Octagonal basin (max. int. diam. 0.575m, max. D 0.25m, T of wall 0.10m) with central drain hole, set on modern base. Eight panels elaborately decorated with carvings in relief some with angels others with foliate designs and divided from each other by a twisted vine. The font is punch dressed and is therefore late rather than high medieval in date. (Fitzgerald 1904, 196-7; Roe 1947, 82-3)

The font was likely moved from the Emo Park demesne to St. John's Church in the 18th or 19th century; its original builder and exact date are unknown, but it is of medieval design and may have been associated with an earlier ecclesiastical site. Its relocation reflects the historical connection between the demesne and the church.
