Loughshinahawn held a Mass-house beside a stone holy water stoup, still visible in the undulating countryside until quite recently. The font served that chapel, dipping infants or washing hands before prayer while neighbours gathered beside the water. The stones have vanished now, leaving only grass and memory to mark where faith once stood exposed to the sky.
