What is recorded here

Castle Street in Fochabers still holds number seventeen, a nineteenth-century house built when Moray towns preferred straight lines and solid walls. It may have fed children, buried parents or simply warmed hands through long winter dark. The stones remember every hand that touched them, even when people forgot the names.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Fochabers, 17 Castle Street as House (19th Century). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
