Fochabers Castle Street and Gordon Castle Park still hold an 18th-century wall, a stone line drawn across Moray before modern boundaries existed. The wall may have marked private ground, guided carriage wheels or kept sheep from castle gardens. In that much is preserved: a household large enough to build, proud enough to show the edge of its world.
