Flying Foam

Wreck

What is recorded here

The National Monuments Record of Wales records Flying Foam as Wreck from the Modern period. The saved point comes from the official national record. Inclusion does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
The *Flying Foam* was a 19th-century steamship that sank in 1875 off the coast of Wales after a boiler explosion. The wreck resulted in the loss of all 13 crew members and is notable as one of the earliest recorded steamship disasters in Welsh waters.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
