Floors Castle, Lodge Park is an 18th-century occupation site in the Scottish Borders, marked on the national record with a point accurate to ten metres. The precision suggests people lived, worked or passed through that exact ground before the castle became the star. Maybe a garden path, a servant kitchen or a forgotten boundary gate occupied that spot. The castle takes the glory, but the smaller site held the daily rhythm that made the grand house possible.
