FINDSPOT of C14TH COINS in Mullynure

FINDSPOT of C14TH COINS

What is recorded here

Mullynure holds a fourteenth-century coin cache, buried beneath ordinary Irish soil. The metals waited through centuries of rain, foottraffic and forgotten lives before emerging to mark the site. They suggest a moment when someone paused, dug a hole and chose to hide value rather than spend it. That small act of trust in the future turned a field into a place of memory.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as FINDSPOT of C14TH COINS. Recorded period: C14TH; MEDIEVAL. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
