Fincastle, K6 Telephone Box

Telephone Box (20th Century)

What is recorded here

Fincastle, K6 Telephone Box stands in Perth and Kinross as a 20th Century telephone box, its red shell still bright enough to stop a passing car. Inside, a phone disc and a thin coil of wire wait for hands that have forgotten the sound of copper music. The box is small, but it holds a whole village conversation, every name and number spoken into its dark mouth.
Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Fincastle, K6 Telephone Box as Telephone Box (20th Century). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
