What is recorded here
Carravindoon held Bronze Age and Medieval field walls, enclosures and huts, showing that people shaped the land repeatedly instead of arriving once. The walls may have guided livestock, marked ownership or simply made the fields easy to see at dusk. Anyone walking that area now moves through layers of human choice, not empty nature.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as FIELD SYSTEM; ENCLOSURES; HUTS; FIELD WALLS (BA to Medieval). Recorded period: BRONZE AGE; MEDIEVAL. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
