Garranes holds a long stone wall in southern Kerry, cutting downslope past a nearby cairn and above the Glantrasna valley. The wall is not a grand ruin or a formal road; it is a field edge, marking where one pasture ended and another began. That simple line still touches the hill, remembering the people who divided grass, watched weather or tended animals in that exposed place.

In rough hill pasture, on a S-facing slope, overlooking the valley of the Glantrasna River. The remains of a roughly linear stone wall (T 0.55m; H 0.5m) protrude above the surface of the bog and run downslope to the S for c. 140m. Short sections of the wall dip intermittently under the surface of the bog. A cairn (KE109-001008-) is c. 120m to the E.
