Field boundary in Drom North, Part of

In wet rough hill grazing on blanket bog, on a gentle E-facing slope. A relict stone field boundary (T 0.65m; H 0.2m) extends in a general E-W direction for a distance of c. 30m. Only the tops of the stones appear above the surface of the blanket bog (min. D 1m). Further stones appear intermittently to the E and SE and indicate that a more extensive network of field boundaries may be lying beneath the deep bog in the area. A fulacht fia (CO115-111001-) and a hut site (CO115-111002-) lie c. 30m to the W. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
