Faughnakilla Burial Gd. is a graveyard on a rise in County Galway, marked first as an unenclosed L-shaped area and later as a larger oval before gaining its stone wall. It sits beside a holy well forty-five metres north, suggesting death and renewal shared one small landscape. People may have brought the dead to that rise because the land already felt set apart, quiet enough for grief and strange enough for prayer.

On a rise in a cleared area of otherwise forested land. Indicated on 1st ed. of OS 6-inch map as an unenclosed L-shaped area (c. 25m by c. 20m) but on 2nd ed. (1899) as a larger oval area. Now enclosed by a stone wall, with the original burial area at NE. A holy well (GA040-006----) lies c. 45m to N. Portal dolmen; dates to the Neolithic period (c. 4000–2500 BCE). Its survival and distinct form contribute to understanding megalithic funerary practices in the region.
