Fairy fort / stone ringfort in Termon

Termon’s fairy fort is a collapsed oval cashel where briars and hawthorns strangle the stones, hiding a wall once wide enough to bar a person or a beast. Its narrow modern gaps admit doubt as much as entry, while the faint internal facing at the north edge suggests human hands shaped the ring before grazing and decay softened it. A house site lies seventy-five metres south, perhaps belonging to the same forgotten neighbourhood. The fort no longer commands attention; it waits beneath green noise, remembering the shape of exclusion and the patience of moss.
