That is a fairy fort, a stone ringfort in Shanlaragh, County Cork. It sits on a knoll above the Caha River valley, marking an old human boundary now softened by grass and time. The stones still form a circle, but they no longer keep out strangers. They keep the memory warm, waiting for someone to notice the shape and imagine the life that made it.

In rough pasture, atop knoll on W-facing slope of Caha River valley. Circular raised area (23.7m N-S; 24m E-W) enclosed by modern stone fence overlying earlier collapsed wall. Gap to E defined on S side by large recumbent stone (L 0.9m; H 0.6m).
