No visible gap remains at the northeast corner, yet two large stones still cross each other like a forgotten door. The oval enclosure sits on a narrow terrace above a low cliff at the south end of the Slievecarran plateau, its border made of grassed stone and quarried rock. A hut site lies close to the north, and an underground passage waits farther up the ascent. The place keeps its shape more like a breath held than a wall built, inviting people to imagine what entered or left when the stones were new.

On the S edge of a narrow terrace of rough grazing and outcropping rock backed to N by a low cliff (H 4m) at the S end of the Slievecarran plateau. A poorly preserved oval enclosure (int. dims. 33.7m E–W; 24.9m N–S) defined by a low grassed-over stone spread from SW to E (Wth 1.2–2.1m; H 0.15–0.5m) and partially quarried bedrock from E–SW, which forms a lip (Wth 0.9m; int. H 0.1m; ext. H 0.3m) along the S limits of the enclosure and the S limits of the narrow terrace upon which the enclosure stands. At NE, two large stones are set perpendicularly to one another; one along the outer base line of the enclosing wall with the second running perpendicularly from it across the enclosing wall line. These stones may mark the site of an original entrance but there is no obvious gap visible. The level interior is featureless and under rough pasture/grazing. A hut site (CL006-135002-) lies 7m N of the enclosure and a Man-made underground passage (CL006-048001-) lies c. 95m to the N, just below the final ascent to the Slievecarron plateau.
