Mweelin holds a stone ringfort where local people once drew a clear line between human property and fairy territory. The fort stands in County Mayo as a boundary marker, warning that the land belongs to someone else and that crossing it invites trouble. Its stones still guard the edge of the visible world, keeping the unusual separate from the ordinary.
