What is recorded here

No visible wall remains from the east through the south to the southwest, where a field boundary cuts across the grass. What is left is a shallow circular depression about thirty metres wide, hidden beneath turf and ordinary farm life. The missing section may have been destroyed when the boundary was made, or it may have never been built. Either way, the fort has spent centuries being forgotten one grass blade at a time.

In grassland. This poorly preserved circular cashel (diam. c. 30m) is defined by a low grassed-over wall; no visible surface survives from E through S to SSW where a field boundary runs at a tangent to the monument. Compiled by: Galway Archaeological Survey, UCG Date of upload: 20 February 2018
