Knockdoebeg West holds a collapsed oval cashel where a field wall now cuts through ancient stone. Inside the grassy ruin, a children's burial ground and forgotten house site wait beneath the overgrowth. The boundary between human loss and fairy trickery becomes difficult to judge when dead children mark the earth. What the fort kept, who it kept them from, and why it surrendered its shape remain absent from the visible remains.

Some 230m NNE of a ringfort (GA070-104----). Very poorly preserved overgrown oval cashel (E-W 45m, N-S 32m) defined by a collapsed grassed-over drystone wall. A field wall cuts the monument at NNE and SSW. A children's burial ground (GA070-105001-) is visible in the NE quadrant of the interior and there is a house site (GA070-105002-) in the heavily overgrown NW quadrant.
