Fairy fort / stone ringfort in Coollagagh

Fairy fort / stone ringfort

What is recorded here

No visible trace remains at Coollagagh, though local memory still shapes the hidden fort into a fairy abode. That is not evasion, but transformation: the human fort disappeared from ordinary sight and reappeared as a warning about thresholds. People may have lived there before forgetting, building a defensible ring in open country and leaving it to rain, roots and time. The fairy label does not dismiss that history; it records the moment human confidence collapsed and mystery took back the land.
