No visible entrance, no obvious door, only a thick broken ring on a drumlin shelf and a possible passage beneath the grass. That is what makes the Cashel fairy fort strange: the boundary is clear, but the way in has vanished or never faced the sky. A small annex still touches the main wall at the northwest, suggesting this was not a marker but a lived place, perhaps with a hidden entrance, a cellar, or a stair forgotten when the stones were robbed.

Located on a shelf towards the bottom of the E-facing slope of a drumlin. This is a grass-covered circular area (int. diam. 18.7m NE-SW) with dense growth of blackthorn in the SE half. It is defined by the foundations of a stone wall with visible facing-stones (Wth of wall 3-3.5m; max. H 0.6m), which is extensively robbed S-W. There is no identifiable original entrance but there is a possible Man-made underground passage (LE015-096002-) in the interior. A small annexe or house site (int. L 4.5m; int. Wth 1.8m) defined by a stone spread (Wth 0.9-1.45m) with an entrance gap (Wth c. 1.5m) on the NW side is attached to the exterior of the cashel wall at NW.
