Fairy fort / stone ringfort in Callow

Fairy fort / stone ringfort

What is recorded here

Mairi's chambers are listed nowhere, yet her name is carved in the rock. She built the fort for the boy she loved, not for herself. The stones rose in a single night because she refused to leave him. When dawn broke, she vanished into the hill and never returned. The chambers still stand, empty and warm, waiting for the boy who never came back.
