Fairy fort / stone ringfort in Cahernichole East, cahernichole West

Fairy fort / stone ringfort

What is recorded here

Cahernichole East and West hold two stone ringforts, ancient cashels built before written memory. They are called fairy forts because people believed the small folk moved in when humans left. The stones stand in open ground, unmarked and untouched, waiting for someone brave enough to walk past without breaking the quiet.
