Caherbannagh holds a stone ringfort people still call a fairy fort, as if the walls belonged to someone smaller and quicker than human. The stones stand in County Clare, unchanged since people stopped naming the room they enclosed. What is missing is not the structure but the life that moved through it, the reason it was built, and the moment it became a story instead of a home.
