Caerlelly Hall and its keeper occupy the same place as the forgotten fort. The distinction is not belief but resolution. The chamber is large enough to contain a hall, a guard room and a living quarter. The chamber is small enough to exclude a crowd. The chamber is shaped to exclude a crowd.
