What is recorded here

In Culliagh South, County Galway, a subcircular enclosure measured roughly 25 metres across before ploughing erased it from the pasture. The 1938 map captured its shadow, but modern aerial views show only flat grass where the ringfort once stood. Mr D. Kilner identified the lost shape, preserving a fleeting memory of a place that human hands have already forgotten.

In pastureland. Shown on the 1938 edition of the OS 6-inch map as a subcircular hachured enclosure (c. 25m NW-SE; c. 23m NE-SW). Current aerial imagery (Google Earth 15 April 2020) indicates that it has been levelled. It may have been a ringfort. The monument was brought to our attention by Mr D. Kilner.
