Fairy fort in Woodfield, County Cork: a roughly circular earthen ring, 37.5m by 40.5m, with a 1.7m bank and shallow outer ditch in level pasture. People may have lived, herded or hidden there before the field was grass; the bank still marks the choice of a defensible place.

In level pasture. Roughly circular area (37.5m N-S; 40.5m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 1.7m) SE->NNW; external fosse (D 0.5m) WSW->NNW. Levelled bank visible as undulation E->SE.
