Half a kilometre from Ballymoe, a double-banked rath still holds its shape on a grassy hillock, its eastern causeway inviting entry while the northern ground hides a tunnel said to open beneath a large slab. The fort is large enough to swallow a village and quiet enough to keep its secrets, demanding imagination for what its makers valued and risked.

On the summit of a hillock in undulating grassland. Well-preserved subcircular rath (E-W 41m, N-S 36m) defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The fosse and outer bank survive from SE through S to W; no visible surface trace survives elsewhere. There is an entrance causeway at E. According to local information, there is a 'tunnel' (possible Man-made underground passage) in the interior at N which could be entered by lifting a 'large slab'. No visible surface trace survives.
