What is recorded here

Located towards the bottom of the W-facing slope of a NNW-SSE drumlin ridge. A large circular enclosure (ext. diam. c. 75m) is depicted here on the 1834 edition of the OS 6-inch map and it is depicted as a D-shaped hachured feature (dims c. 60m NW-SE; c. 60m NE-SW) on the 1907 edition where it is truncated by field banks at NW and NE. This is a large D-shaped grass-covered area (dims 64m NNE-SSW; 61m WNW-ESE) defined by a slight scarp E-S-W that is best preserved (Wth 6.1m; H 1.1m) at SW. There is no visible fosse or any indication of an entrance and it is truncated by a NE-SW field bank at NW.
