What is recorded here

Quarrying and trackways have bitten into the SE, SW and NW edges, but the fosse and outer bank still curve from SW through N to E. They mark a 56m circular rath on the crest of a ridge in grassland, two banks deep enough to suggest a place set apart rather than merely passed. What is missing at the broken edges may have been a gate, a garden, a boundary or a warning; the surviving curve still draws the eye around its hollow centre.

Quarrying has encroached upon the enclosing elements at SE, SW and NW. A trackway cuts the monument at SE and SW.
