Fairy fort in Tullig, County Kerry: a 36m earthen ring on a north-facing slope, mapped in 1841 and partly levelled in the mid-1960s. Its bank still stands in a field boundary, perhaps saved because it was useful, perhaps because nobody could agree what it was. That much of the circle disappeared while a little remained gives the place a stubborn, half-remembered life.

In pasture, on a N-facing slope. Depicted on the 1st ed. (1841) OS 6-inch map as a circular area (diam. c. 36m) enclosed by a bank. According to the landowner, the ringfort was largely levelled in the mid 1960s but a portion of the enclosing bank (int. H 1.4m; ext. H 1.35m) was preserved in a field boundary S-WNW.
