Twenty-eight metres of raised earth still stand beside Tullerboy House, though trees and pasture have softened the ancient line. The fort may have served as a boundary marker, a seasonal home, or a quiet place of refuge before the house gave the landscape its modern shape. Its oval frame survives because people kept returning to that spot, shaping it, remembering it, and leaving it untouched when newer buildings rose elsewhere.

In pasture, 110m E of townland boundary with Rosstemple, 280m S of a prehistoric house and metal working site (LI031-216001/002-), excavated on route of Bord Gáis Éireann Limerick gas Pipeline in 2002 (Grogan et. al. 2007). Tullerboy House (LI031-088----) lies 160 m to E and an enclosure (LI031-086----) lies 215m to SW. Depicted on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as a raised roughly oval-shaped area (dims. c. 28m N-S x 37m E-W) defined by a scarp with external fosse and entrance gap at E. The depiction of the fosse with a double line may suggest a water-filled moat. In 1840 the Ordnance Survey recorded this monument as one of 'two forts' in the townland (OSNB Athlacca Parish, 140). A fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Tullerboy, likely dating to the early medieval period, is situated near a prehistoric house and metalworking site. Local folklore associates such forts with supernatural beings, and they were often avoided due to beliefs in their magical or fairy-inhabited nature.
